On  the weekend of the 18th and 19th May 2013 we went to plant cedar trees in the Cederberg.

We then did some 4X4’ing to get to Heuningvlei. The route took us through the area that burnt during the large veld fire that burnt for 3 weeks in the Cederberg in the beginning of 2013.

On the way back from planting our 4 cedar trees we visited the 2 trees that Deon and Rob planted in 2012, but they had been destroyed by the fire.

After we had planted our 4 cedar trees at Heuningvlei we were treated to lunch by Bushmanskloof resort. When we finished with lunch we headed off to the house where we  would be staying the night.

Some of us went exploring, got a little dirty and reached new heights:

We spent some time organising the cedar trees that we would plant on Sunday.

Once we planted the trees we had lunch and headed down the mountain. When we got to the house we packed up and left for home. Some of us were tired but satisfied.

On cresting Pakhuis pass we were shown a spectacular sunset!
